vExpert 2015

Last year I was inspired by my colleague Darryl Cauldwell (@potato_heads) to start this blog site. Darryl had been blogging for a year or so, and I felt I could also contribute to the community, mostly on VMware subject matter.

When he was awarded vExpert 2014, this again gave me the nudge to apply for the vExpert 2014 Q3 program, and I was delighted to be successful. This was partially based on my work within CSC, and partially based on my personal blogging.

It then wasn’t long before the vExpert 2015 applications were invited, and I applied again. This time around, I had spent a great deal of time blogging my VCP-NV Study Guide and evangelising the VMware certification paths within CSC.

I was very pleased to find last week that once again, I had been awarded vExpert, for 2015, along with my colleagues Darryl Cauldwell, and Chris Neale (@MrCNeale)

I’d like to say a big thankyou to everyone who has commented on my blog, or via twitter. It’s gratifying to know that people are benefitting from what I write here 🙂

Personal news…

Hi all, thanks for all the kind comments I’ve received about the VCP-NV study guide. I will try and get a complete PDF uploaded somewhere for those who have asked about it.

More excitingly (for me anyway!) Mrs D and I have spawned a new instance (or have we forked our code base?)…  Yes, we have a baby boy, Wesley Albert, 3.3kg, born on Saturday 31st January.

They’re both home and doing fine, but it might be a little while before any regular postings are resumed!
